PsychoactiveMap

Embed registered psychedelic trials on your site

A small, free widget that shows how many registered studies PsychoactiveMap counts for a country or a substance, how many report recruiting, and a short list with registry links.

What the widget shows

Each widget shows the number of registered studies counted for a country or a substance, the number that report a recruiting status, and up to eight recruiting studies. Titles are quoted from ClinicalTrials.gov, with the phase, the city of the research site and a link to the registry record.

Counts follow the same rules as the trial hubs: reviewed exclusions are removed, unrelated records that only share an abbreviation are dropped, and ketamine counts only when a study is classified as psychiatric research. The figures come from a reviewed snapshot, and the widget shows the date of that snapshot.

Educational information, not medical advice. A registry listing is not evidence of safety, benefit or results, and PsychoactiveMap does not recruit, screen or refer participants. Every widget repeats this notice and links to the disclaimer.

How to add it

  1. Choose a country or a substance in the generator above, and a light, dark or automatic theme.
  2. Copy the script snippet and paste it into the page where the widget should appear. It draws the widget into that spot, with no iframe.
  3. Optionally set a partner name so visits from your site are tagged with it in our analytics.
<div id="psychoactivemap-widget"></div><script src="https://psychoactivemap.com/embed/country/AU.js" data-target="psychoactivemap-widget" data-theme="light" data-partner="yoursite" async></script>

If your site allows framing other sites, you can use an iframe instead. Many hosts block this, so the script is the default.

<iframe src="https://psychoactivemap.com/embed/country/AU.html?theme=light&partner=yoursite" title="Psychedelic research trials in Australia" width="100%" height="480" style="border:0;max-width:640px" loading="lazy"></iframe>

Widget addresses and options

  • Country: /embed/country/AU.html (two-letter country code, upper case).
  • Substance: /embed/substance/psilocybin.html (the slug used by the trial hubs, for example psilocybin, mdma, lsd, ketamine).
  • Script versions: /embed/country/AU.js and /embed/substance/psilocybin.js. Set data-target to the id of the element to fill (if it is missing, the widget appears right after the script tag), data-theme to light or dark, and data-partner to your own identifier.
  • Filterable: /embed/recruiting.html?country=AU&substance=mdma filters one small data file in the browser.
  • theme (iframe): light (default), dark or auto, which follows the visitor's device.
  • partner (iframe): your own short identifier (letters, numbers, hyphen or underscore). It becomes the utm_campaign value on the links back to PsychoactiveMap.

Privacy, speed and attribution

Each widget is one small file: a script that draws into an isolated Shadow DOM, or a plain HTML page for the iframe. It loads no tracking script, sets no cookie and makes no request to any third party. Links open in a new tab.

The widget keeps a visible "Data: PsychoactiveMap" link back to the site. Please leave it in place. Embedded pages are marked noindex so they do not compete with the hubs in search results.
